Beach club weddings
For a barefoot reception, Marbella’s beach clubs can be booked for private events. The town’s own list of celebration venues includes La Cabane, MC Beach, Nikki Beach, Chambao, Amú Beach Club at Gran Marbella, Lucía Summer Club and NAÔ Pool Club.
Ask early about exclusive use: in summer, many clubs only close to the public for a full buy-out.

Fincas and country estates
A finca wedding means gardens, olive trees, long tables and a party that can go late, away from the beach. Marbella’s Wedding Department lists El Gamonal, Casa de la Era, Finca Amalur and Finca La Concepción among the town’s wedding estates.
Visit at the time of day you plan to marry: light, shade and the evening breeze make a big difference.
Private
Villa weddings
A private villa gives you the place to yourselves for the whole weekend: rehearsal dinner with a private chef, ceremony on the lawn and a pool party the day after.
Not every rental villa allows events, so work through our villa rental checklist first. Always get written permission for an event, check guest limits and noise rules, and plan parking and toilets for larger groups.

Getting married in Marbella: the legal basics
In Spain, a couple first has to prove they can marry through a marriage file or certificate. It is handled at the Civil Registry, or by a notary, of the place where one of you lives. If both of you live abroad, the file can be handled by the Spanish consulate where you live.
If both partners are foreign, Spanish law allows the marriage to follow the Spanish form or the form of either partner’s home country. Many couples marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony in Marbella.
Marbella’s Tourism Department has a Wedding Department that helps with procedures, logistics, documents and municipal permits, and publishes lists of venues, places for religious ceremonies and officiants.

Insider tips
Tips for planning a Marbella wedding
- Start 12 months ahead. The best weekends at the big venues go early.
- Plan for the heat. In July and August, hold the ceremony late in the afternoon.
- Book rooms for guests. A villa or a hotel block keeps everyone together.
- Check the curfew. Ask each venue about music limits and finishing times.
- Arrange transport. Coaches or drivers between the hotel, the ceremony and the party save a lot of stress.
